Sea Captain sample rig created in Rive
Comes with a free bird!
This rig includes IK controls for hands, feet, and root movements.
It also includes a look at controller to adjust head movements.
Many more controls could be added given a longer timeline, such as rotation controls, multiple facial expressions, hand controls, reusable walk cycles, etc.
Other Rive experiments
These rive experiments were done to explore possible tools in Rive, time controls, mouse tracking, looping, look controllers, bone controls, camera movements, etc. The most complicated rig is the dinosaur trying to eat the butterfly, which includes mouse tracking, looping animation, deformation meshes, bone setups and more.

Rive is the latest tool in my tool kit, but the lessons from rigging every character in the past, whether 2D or 3D, informs my decision process while rigging and animating in Rive.
